Jay Glenewinkel's RR PICTURES ARCHIVES PAGE
UPDATE: 06/20/2009: I am back and will be uploading new photos of locomotives and rolling stock. I am deleting all of my photos from LocoPhotos and will be placing them here.
I hope that you will enjoy my archive collections of railroad photos. I began photographing trains at the young age of 8, in 1978. My first camera was one of those little disc cameras (if you remember those) that I would use to get as many train pictures as I could. I even have a few of those in my photo albums on this site.Since that age, I have enjoyed the hobby of railfanning.
The railroads I grew up with include the MISSOURI PACIFIC, SOUTHERN PACIFIC and MISSOURI-KANSAS-TEXAS. I also like the old Seaboard System and Chessie System, and the hundreds of shortline RRs, past & present.
I have managed to have some of my photos published in various Railroad publications in the late 1990s. Alot of my Mo-Pac stuff can be found on Todd Greuter's SCREAMING EAGLE, and Plains-Westweb sites. Most of my oddball photos will eventually added to my page here.
NOTE TOCOTULLA HEAD-ON COLLISIONPHOTO SECTION: I have a series of photographs from the Missouri Pacific Head-On Collision that occured in Cotulla, Texas in November 1973. If you would like to read my article on the tragic disaster simply go to http://www.trainweb.org/screamingeagle/cotulla.html.
You may browse my collection of pictures via the menu located on the left hand side of the page. I hope you enjoy the collection and thanks for stopping by!
